Bookmark Sentry is a simple add-on that scans the bookmarks list in order to identify the broken links.

Bookmark Sentry checks for obsolete and duplicates links and displays a report if it finds something. 

Moreover, Bookmark Sentry can be scheduled to run a scan every couple of days or not at all.
